Bill Blanchard, Attorney
Inspired by his great uncle, Richard T. Rives, who was a Federal Judge in Montgomery, AL, during the Civil Rights Era, William “Bill” Blanchard began practicing law in 1978. Bill later went into private practice in 1981 and founded Blanchard Law Offices.
Throughout the years, Bill has been recognized for his work as a criminal and family attorney. The Alabama State Bar Association awarded him the Clarence Darrow Award for his work on capital murder cases, and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association presented him with the Roderick Beddow Award.
He has served as president of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Alabama Bar Association, and President of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has also been listed in the Super Lawyers publication for a number of years.
